Processes and Procedures - Organization and Methods

Procedures are an integral part of a living and active organization. A procedure is used to define processes, establish guidelines and mandatory rules, preserve organizational knowledge, and provide guidance during emergencies.

A well-designed procedure will serve both the organization and the process it documents or formalizes. Therefore, it should be structured, concise, and purposeful.
